BalletWorks Online Gala

Over the course of six years, myself and a small team under the name of BalletWorks have successfully collaborated with dancers and artists from some of the world's leading dance companies. Every summer it has been a ritual for us to gather on the Isle of Wight, which is where I grew up, to showcase the highest calibre of dance to the Islands community and raise money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice in Newport.

Due to the situation with the pandemic it is still unknown when we will perform again, therefore, we aim to continue our contribution to local charities through curating an online evening of pre-recorded pieces from an array of multidisciplinary artists. In order to support local businesses on the Isle of Wight, we are teaming up with a food delivery company called GoEats, so that our audience can get their favourite take-away delivered to their doorstep prior to the Online streaming time.

This gives the opportunity for our once seated audience the chance to watch an evening of online art with the price of their ticket being contributed to the Mountbatten Hospice as well as local businesses.

It's always been our mission to showcase work from artists to small communities which may not have the know abouts of where to access these films. Therefore we want to curate an evening of 45 minutes to create further awareness and a sense of community.
